ETHOS

13 Brewer Street, Maidstone, Kent, ME14 1RU

Small shop, big difference.

What's it all about?

Martin Luther King said that 'before you finish eating breakfast in the morning, you've depended on more than half of the world' in a speech where he talked about the 'interrelated structure of all'. This is our basic principle that, what you do has an effect, what you buy and who you buy it from is important.

This is why environmentally friendly products (including vegan ones) and fair trade are the core of what we sell and why we like to get our products from cooperatives, alternative trading organisations and independent companies. Vegetarian and vegan products go hand in hand with this way of thinking and our customers, whether meat eaters or not, purchase them for a range of different reasons.

Ethos opened in spring 2014 in Starnes Court and in July 2016 moved to a better location at 13 Brewer Street.
